VVV Laarbeek wordt Toeristisch Laarbeek

Laarbeek – The sun is starting to break through. Literally and figuratively. Now that we are looking forward to a beautiful summer together, the start of Toeristiek Laarbeek could not have taken place at a better time. A new local platform that takes over the role of tourist information provider from the Laarbeek Tourist Office.

Now that the VVV has increasingly disappeared from the streets, the call for a new organization has increased. And who better to tell you about Laarbeek’s tourist attractions than the entrepreneurs active in this sector? Jos Vogels (Landgoed d’n Heikant, Aarle-Rixtel), Lilian van Vijfeijken (In de Hei accommodations, Mariahout), Arian de Groot (Cozy at Marie, Beek en Donk) and Berry Huygens (By Berry, Lieshout) stand with a smiling faces in the photo. Together with secretary Jack Vlaming, they form the board of the new organization Toeristiek Laarbeek, which is therefore directly rooted in all the cores of the municipality.

In total there are 117 companies that earn their money from tourism in Laarbeek. There are currently 30 entrepreneurs who are already affiliated with Toeristiek Laarbeek. An initiative conceived and developed by local entrepreneurs. The idea is that they inform and inspire tourists at their own company. Each entrepreneur will have a small tourist point with brochures, flyers and other material about Laarbeek’s tourist attractions. Every entrepreneur is that hospitable ambassador who helps put Laarbeek on the map, chairman Jos Vogels explains. “The entrepreneurs help each other in this way. Imagine you are spending the night somewhere as a tourist in Laarbeek and you want to do something fun. The entrepreneur with whom you are staying can inform you well in this way. This cross-pollination of information exchange ultimately leads to tourists visiting the participants of the platform. It helps everyone.”

The entrepreneurs who participate in Toeristiek Laarbeek are spread across all centers of the municipality. Tourist entrepreneurs can easily register via www.toeristieklaarbeek.nl. The brand new board is full of practical knowledge and has its feet in the clay of the tourism sector in Laarbeek. Jack Vlaming provides the right addition with his administrative experience. More activities will be rolled out from the board in the autumn. Jos Vogels: “There is really a lot to do in Laarbeek. We will actively promote this.”
